How I Ended Up In Paris

In 2022 and 2024, I visited Paris for the iGEM Grand Jamboree — a synthetic biology competition involving teams from all over the world. At this competition, I met very interesting people, and learned a lot about the cutting edge of our field. I also learned that I loved France. The way the French people live, work, and best of all, cook, inspired me to think a bit harder about moving there one day.

At the beginning of 2025, I decided to apply to Université Paris-Saclay to further pursue my goals of becoming a fully-fledged synthetic biologist.
